Making Waves That Matter: The Lucky Dog Swim Fund at Dip’n Dogs

At Dip’n Dogs Canine Swimming, our mission has always been simple: to help dogs live healthier, happier lives through the power of swimming. Whether it’s for recovery, exercise, fun, or confidence-building, every dog deserves the chance to swim—regardless of their financial or life circumstances.

That’s why we’re proud of the Lucky Dog Swim Fund—a donation-based initiative created to sponsor swim sessions for deserving pups who might not otherwise have the opportunity. Through this fund, we’re able to support dogs in need with tailored swim sessions that enhance their physical and emotional well-being—at no cost to their families or rescue organizations.

Today, we’d love to introduce you to the current 2025 swim season’s “Lucky Dogs” making a splash with us. These four incredible pups are the reason this fund exists, and your support helps us continue giving back to dogs who truly deserve a little extra love. We are always looking to add “Lucky Dogs” so if you know a dog who would benefit from this fund, please reach out to us.

Meet Our Lucky Dogs…

Skyrah – Swimming for Comfort and Joy

Skyrah is a beautiful chocolate Labrador Retriever who has quickly captured our hearts. She’s currently battling stage 4 kidney disease and managing the challenges of diabetes—a tough journey for any dog and their family.

But through it all, Skyrah has one shining light: she absolutely loves to swim. It’s her happy place, where she feels light, free, and alive. Her fur mama has been working tirelessly to provide her with everything she needs, including costly diabetes medications. So after her diagnosis, we knew Skyrah was the perfect candidate for the Lucky Dog Swim Fund.

By sponsoring her sessions, we’re giving Skyrah the comfort, happiness, and peace she deserves in her golden days—without adding financial pressure to her family. Watching her splash, smile, and enjoy her time in the water reminds us exactly why we started this fund in the first place.

Cash – A Rescue Pup Finding Peace Through Play

Cash is a young Pittie mix currently under the care of Poodle and Pooch Rescue and being fostered in a loving volunteer’s home. He’s sweet, eager to please, and just waiting for his forever family to find him.

Like many rescue dogs, Cash comes with some pent-up energy and emotional baggage from his early days. For pups like him, swimming offers an ideal combination of mental stimulation and physical exercise. Not only does it help him stay cool and safe in the Florida heat, but it also allows him to release anxiety in a fun, controlled environment.

Thanks to the Lucky Dog Swim Fund, Cash is learning that life can be joyful—and we’re helping him prepare for his future family by giving him an outlet for his energy, both in body and mind.

Shorty – A Husky with Heart and High Energy

If there’s one thing Huskies are known for, it’s their boundless energy—and Shorty is no exception. This young, spirited pup is currently being fostered through a volunteer with Husky Haven Rescue, and keeping him mentally and physically engaged is a full-time job!

Swimming has become a game-changer for Shorty. As part of the Lucky Dog Swim Fund, he’s now able to release that high-octane puppy energy in a safe, healthy, and structured way. Not only does swimming keep him physically fit, but it also stimulates his mind and builds confidence, helping him become a well-adjusted young dog.

By supporting Shorty’s swim sessions, we’re helping his foster mom meet his needs and giving him the tools he needs to thrive—whether he’s playing, training, or preparing for adoption.

Maggie – A Water-Safe Puppy in Training

Maggie is an adorable teddy bear breed puppy who was selected for our Lucky Dog Swim Fund as a way of giving back. Her fur mama has been a big supporter of our program and believes deeply in the importance of water safety for dogs—especially in Florida, where pools and lakes are everywhere.

Maggie is learning the basics: how to swim, how to exit the pool safely, and how to feel confident and calm around water. These early swim lessons are critical for long-term safety and comfort, and we’re proud to help her develop essential life skills while having a whole lot of fun.

Supporting Maggie’s sessions ensures she’ll grow up knowing how to swim and navigate water safely—something every dog should learn, especially in a state surrounded by water hazards.

Why the Lucky Dog Swim Fund Matters

The Lucky Dog Swim Fund was built from the belief that every dog deserves the chance to swim, regardless of medical conditions, rescue status, or financial limitations. It’s more than just splashing around—it’s therapy, joy, mental enrichment, and life-saving skill-building, all rolled into one.

This fund helps dogs who:

  • Are battling chronic illnesses

  • Are recovering from trauma or surgery

  • Have been rescued or are in foster care

  • Need mental and physical outlets

  • Require swim safety training

And perhaps most importantly—it helps the people who love them. Whether it’s a rescue volunteer, a foster family, or a devoted dog parent, your donations help lighten the financial load so they can focus on what matters most: their dog’s happiness and well-being.
